Acknowledge and Categorize Cost Anomalies

Navigator Standard  Navigator Enhanced  Navigator Premium  Navigator Enterprise

You can now mark an active anomaly as reviewed and acknowledged. This helps you distinguish between anomalies that have been addressed or observed and those that still require attention. With the new anomaly detection acknowledgment flow, you can:

Acknowledge an anomaly

On the anomaly detail screen, click “Acknowledge Anomaly.” This action allows you to classify the anomaly as either a true positive or a false positive and provides an option to select the reason for your classification.

Edit an acknowledged anomaly

Click the "Edit" button to change the acknowledgment status of an anomaly you reviewed.

Updated anomaly status

On the Cost Anomalies page, you can now view the acknowledgment status alongside the active or inactive status. This enhancement helps you easily identify anomalies that still require attention.

To learn more about anomaly acknowledgment, check out our documentation in the Help Center.

DoiT Cloud Analytics - Updated text for the dimension "Cloud"

In Cloud Analytics for DoiT Cloud Navigator, we have updated the text of one of our standard dimensions "Cloud" to "Provider" to select the data source.

Data sources in Cloud Analytics have expanded beyond cloud providers with the addition of DataHub and future integrations on our roadmap such as Snowflake. “Provider” more accurately reflects data sources available today and in the future.

This update will not impact any of your existing reports or future reporting experience as it is just a text change and will reflect automatically in the reports.

Get a Separate Invoice for Marketplace Spend

DoiT Cloud Navigator now offers enhanced invoice configurability, allowing you to receive a separate invoice for your AWS Marketplace expenditures. This feature helps you avoid the time-consuming task of separating Marketplace spend from your overall cloud expenses, ensuring more accurate cost allocation.

On your billing profile page in Cloud Navigator, you will now see a new configuration option under “invoice settings” to separate your Marketplace spend using one of two choices:

  • Create individual invoices for each purchase: Receive one invoice per item you've purchased via the AWS Marketplace.
  • Create a single invoice with line items for each purchase: Receive one invoice including all the items you've purchased via the AWS Marketplace.

Once the changes are made before the end of the calendar month, the new configuration will reflect automatically in your next invoice of cloud spend. To learn more about invoicing configurability options, please refer to this documentation.

DoiT Invoice Explainer: Enhanced to provide granular visibility on the cost breakdown of your AWS bill

DoiT Invoice Explainer now provides even more granular visibility into your AWS cloud bill with additional cost breakdowns at the service and account levels. Whether you’re a business or technical stakeholder, this additional granularity will cut down the time that you spend trying to understand your billing, transforming it into a seamless and transparent process.

Navigating the complexities of cloud billing can often be challenging, especially when dealing with two invoices: one from AWS to DoiT and another from DoiT to you. Each has its unique layout and pricing strategy, potentially leading to confusion. Invoice Explainer, originally launched earlier this year, is designed to simplify and clarify these discrepancies.

In this latest release, we have enhanced the existing experience by providing further breakdown of cost per account and cost per service. For every account or service, we provide further cost breakdown into parameters like usage, saving plans, discounts, etc.

Invoice Explainer can be accessed by opening your AWS invoice in the DoiT console and clicking the ‘Understand this invoice’ button at the top. It offers a guided experience with complete transparency to help you understand your AWS invoices along with what AWS charges to DoiT.
