1. Easier to customize: Ramp Plans are now based on Attributions instead of invoices, giving you more flexibility when you need to customize the scope of your Ramp Plan, and providing a more accurate view of your commit-eligible cloud spend.

2. Daily Updates: As a result, Ramp Plans are now updated daily, giving you a more current view of your cloud spend.

3. Improved UI: We added new information to your Ramp Plans, giving you a better overview of your progress towards your commitment.

4. Modify growth projections easily: We made it easier for you to change your planned spend projections and build in different intervals of growth.

→ For a more detailed look at these improvements, check out the video below and our Product Documentation.

By tracking your commit attainment you’ll stay on top of any opportunities to sign an early recommit with even better terms, or situations where you might be behind schedule.

We're confident these improvements will enhance your cloud commitment tracking and management. As always, we're here for any questions or support you need. Don't hesitate to reach out!

Include Subtotals in Cloud Cost Reports

With Subtotals, you can now aggregate metrics for each grouping level you add in Reports. This allows you to quickly understand how each category contributes to the total of your bill while still seeing the granularity. You can enable this by simply toggling the "Include subtotals" checkbox in the Group by section:

Introducing Ava: A Leap in DoiT's GenAI Technology

We are thrilled to unveil Ava, the latest evolution in DoiT's GenAI technology. With this inaugural public release, you can bypass the traditional Help Center search and instead ask questions about the DoiT Console using natural language right on the platform.

This upgrade significantly enhances the DoiT documentation accessibility, enabling FinOps professionals to submit natural language inquiries within the DoiT Console Docs (help.doit.com). Ava will assist by highlighting pertinent sections or pulling precise data from the documentation. Consequently, FinOps experts can minimize reading time and allocate more time to fine-tuning their cloud infrastructure.

Over the last half-year, Ava has been a game-changer in improving various internal processes at DoiT. It has significantly facilitated information acquisition, enrichment, and content optimization for the Customer Reliability Engineering team. Furthermore, it has established itself as an invaluable asset in our Anomaly Detection capabilities, assisting customers in identifying and tracking the roots of cloud cost irregularities with greater precision.

To embark on this enhanced experience, visit help.doit.com, click the search bar, and select the "Ask a question" tab to begin your first Ava interaction!

Now, we're elevating Ava's role, offering direct access to our customers and users to boost the efficacy of FinOps professionals further. We are in the midst of crafting a host of new functionalities centered on Ava technology, encompassing streamlined cost report creation and tackling complex cloud issues across AWS, GCP, and Azure platforms. Stay tuned for a series of exciting updates coming your way!

Enhanced Integration with Zapier – Alert & Budget Triggers

We are thrilled to announce two new Zapier triggers that enhance the integration with your DoiT Console, further simplifying your cloud billing management process. These updates focus on streamlining your alert response system and budget monitoring practices, ensuring you never face unexpected surprises in your cloud billing.

The first trigger, "New Alert Notification," utilizes the versatile Alerts feature of the DoiT Console to monitor various dimensions in your cloud infrastructure. This, for example, allows for automatically creating Jira tickets (or even notifying your own webhooks) when an alert is detected, making it easier to assign tasks to your team for further investigation without missing a beat.

The second, "Budget Threshold Surpassed," is a FinOps tool that helps keep track of your cloud spend against planned budgets. A popular use-case of this is the automated logging of budget consumption data directly into Google Spreadsheets or Microsoft Excel, assisting you in maintaining a documented and efficient tracking system.

To get started with these new features, visit the Zapier integration section on your DoiT Console and customize these new triggers to fit your workflow with zero code.

Introducing Query Cloud Analytics: Instant, No-Code Billing Analysis on Zapier

We understand that sometimes you may need to conduct a report (query) on your Google Cloud or AWS billing records in response to a specific trigger. For instance, you might want to analyze your expenses for a particular cloud service (such as "AWS Lambda") when you find out a new team or cost center in your organization has begun using it. This is why we've recently introduced a "Query Cloud Analytics" action in Zapier! This newly implemented feature allows you to execute an instant analysis of your cloud billing records without the need for coding. It's readily available to all our users and customers.

One of the key benefits of this new action is the elimination of the need for pre-built reports. It allows you to dynamically specify parameters for the data you need, including the group-by, timeframe, filters, and so on. Then, whenever your action is triggered, it will deliver up-to-date data in accordance with your specifications!

Harnessing The Power of Cloud Analytics With Our New API: reports.query()

As we continue to innovate and grow, one thing remains constant — our commitment to making life easier for developers. We understand the complexities of managing cloud services, and that’s why we’re excited to announce a brand new feature in our analytics arsenal — the reports.query() API call.

Imagine you’re running applications on both Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Amazon Web Services (AWS). You want to understand your recent spending on specific services like AWS EC2 or GCP BigQuery over the last week. Ordinarily, that would involve considerable time spent digging through separate dashboards or interfaces to collate the data.

Read more about how to use reports.query() in our recent blog post.

Cloud Infrastructure availability and uptime monitoring

We are thrilled to share a significant upgrade to Cloud Incidents. This feature now provides even more advanced monitoring capabilities for the availability and uptime of your cloud infrastructure. With this update, you can gather deeper insights into the performance and accessibility of your infrastructure on both Google Cloud and Amazon Web Services.

Cloud Incidents are critical events, such as outages, that may potentially affect the performance or availability of your application or services. DoiT Console normally presents these incidents in a table view, sorted by regions and services, including those that don't provide region information, like global services incidents.

Today, we're taking this a step further by incorporating a more comprehensive view of the availability of your cloud, or even multicloud, infrastructure, a feature often expected from top-tier infrastructure monitoring solutions.

The new "Cloud infrastructure availability" chart allows you to explore your overall availability over a selected period, providing insights into the entirety of your cloud infrastructure or your specific services. This easy-to-understand chart is designed to help you visually comprehend the impact of the cloud infrastructure on your overall service availability.

You can learn more about Cloud incidents in our DoiT Console Help Center.
