DoiT insights can now analyze your Snowflake billing data to identify savings opportunities and generate actionable recommendations. Our first Snowflake insight, named “Optimize Snowflake auto-suspend” provides recommendations for setting up warehouse auto suspension. It assesses the compute credits charged by Snowflake while your warehouse was idle and translates those numbers into potential savings if you follow DoiT's advice.

DoiT insights are located under the Governance tab on your Cloud Navigator toolbar. Here you can see an overview of each opportunity and an estimate of how much it will save you. Click on “Optimize Snowflake auto-suspend” for more information about how to take action, as well as a breakdown of how the potential savings are calculated. You can also create a Jira thread from the Insights screen to create and track an engineering task to handle the savings opportunity, or raise a support ticket to enlist a DoiT expert for more information.
