Now available: Near real-time anomaly detection for DoiT Cloud Intelligence

DoiT's industry leading anomaly detection solution just got better with the ability to detect and alert for AWS cost spikes in close to real time. Rather than solely relying on the AWS billing data- which refreshes every 24 hours- to detect anomalies, DoiT Anomaly Detection can now also analyze usage metrics in near real time to catch cost spikes even before they show up in billing data.

This ability to take immediate action on anomalous AWS spend will be a big help for cloud operations teams in their efforts to keep cloud spend under control. By getting alerted as soon as costs go beyond their expected range, teams can quickly investigate and diagnose the problem, then take any necessary steps to remediate the issue. This capability is currently limited to AWS EC2 service only, but we more will be adding more cloud services in the coming months. DoiT users can tell whether an anomaly is based on real-time data because the source will be “Real-time usage data” rather than “Billing data.”

You can also determine whether an anomaly is still an ongoing issue by using the “Active” and “Inactive” labels, as well as being able to see if an anomaly has been acknowledged by another member of the team, all for the larger purpose of ensuring that unexpected surges in cost are dealt with quickly to minimize the impact on the monthly cloud bill.

This near-real-time capability for DoiT Anomaly Detection is limited to customers who are subscribed to a DoiT Cloud Intelligence Enhanced or Enterprise plan. To learn more about our Anomaly Detection solution, please consult the documentation in the DoiT Help Center.
