Split shared costs among your teams, apps, and more

As part of a comprehensive FinOps practice, It's always important to consider shared costs when you distribute your cloud costs among various segments of your business.

If these "shared" shared costs are not factored in during cost allocation, several issues may arise:

  1. You might under-allocate or over-allocate costs to your cost centers, leading to inaccuracies.
  2. The responsibility for these costs may not be taken up by anyone, possibly causing them to skyrocket uncontrollably.
  3. Your cost predictions or budgets may be skewed due to the reliance on incomplete data.

To address these issues, we're thrilled to introduce "Cost Splitting." This new feature allows you to easily distribute shared and unallocated costs among different DoiT Console stakeholder groups!

Read more about how it works, or check out the additional resources below to explore it yourself.
